3DSMAX OBJECT FOR SCRIPTING IN SECONDLIFE

Some initial ideas about what sort of object I want to create in 3dsmax to transfer into SL and apply a script to.

I thought a modular object might be good because it's something I could repeat and repeat and scale up and down and create variations of. I was thinking of the pannelled screen I invisaged for my office building that would immitate the effect of light coming through trees and filtering into the space (referencing the ideas of light I incorporated into the previous project with lasercutting). Thinking of making the screen out of a series of repeated objects almost woven together, the same object will be sized up and down and repeated to give an organic feel. I want to script the objects to move in the wind like leaves or feathers and be 'reactive' - respond to the world around them as well as the avatars walking around, like when you walk past a tree or curtain the leaves or fabric move with the wind your create. I would like to script the screens to respond to the movement of the avatars in this way. Judy mentioned a 'reflexive script' might be useful as well as changing the 'flexibility' of the object like i've done before so it allows movement in the wind but will have to be more careful so that I get the movement I'm after.
